      Dean answers Reyes, calls for Erap resignation

      Tacloban City - Four days after Fr. Robert Reyes challenged the Archbishop of Palo to support the clamor of the people in a rally held last November 14 in RTR Plaza led by Sanghiran , Msgr. Pedro Dean read his pastoral letter to his congregation calling for the immediate resignation of the President in the media forum "Express it at the Park" held at the Leyte Park Hotel last November 18, 2000...see story.

      Tacloban City- Executive Secretary Ramon Zamora has affirmed the right of the City Government of Tacloban to collect real property tax from the Leyte Park Hotel. The Office of the President of the Republic, through Secretary Zamora, informed Renato Valdecantos, Chief Executive Trustee of the Asset Privatization Trust (APT) that there is no cogent reason to interfere with the earlier decision of then Secretary of Finance Edgardo Espiritu...see story.

      Tacloban City - A special committee created out of the inquiry of Victor Domingo, RDC Vice-chair, on the whereabouts of the P5 million RDC funds is recommending Tacloban City Mayor Alfredo "Bejo" Romualdez and NEDA Regional Director Buenventura Go-Soco for investigation by the Commission on Audit.       Catarman, Samar - Even N. Samar has caught fever over the recent clamor of some militant groups in urging President Joseph "ERAP" Estrada to step down from his post. A group of organizations here has recently formed the "Northern Samar Sectoral Forum: Oust ERAP" alliance, staging its first major rally last November 14 at the University of Eastern Philippines..see story.

      Tacloban City -The Sanghiran San Katawhan San Sinirangan Bisayas or Sanghiran held its march rally last month here in the city. The Sanghiran a coalition composed of non government organizations, concerned individuals, and cause-oriented groups expressed its support to the nationwide protest...see story.

      Tacloban City - A stockpile of Rice, canned goods and medical supplies were all awaiting disposal to probable areas which would have been hit hard by typhoon Toyang on Dec. 1.
